Eagles was one of the five Spanish municipalities last week became the seat of the European Conference on Education and Indigenous Culture of Paraguay organized by UNESCO to mark the 70th anniversary of this institution.
At the conference, in which the mayor of Eagle, Mari Carmen Moreno participated, the Councillor for Education, Vicente Ruiz and other members of the municipal corporation said the idea of ​​"education as a necessary element for coexistence", as noted Mari Carmen Hidalgo, vice president of the UNESCO center of Murcia.
Proof of this is the project "Mathematics as a means of intercultural indigenous peoples of Paraguay", whose germ, Hidalgo said, "is in Eagles."
The event, which was attended by a delegation of indigenous teachers from different ethnic groups in Paraguay, was completed with a sample of Carnival performances of the characters and the corps de ballet of Sumatra rock.
