The XXII edition of the corsage tomato, activity included within the program of celebrations of the Immaculate Conception of the hamlet of Garrobillo aquiline, was celebrated yesterday with a record participation as more than 80 bouquets were enrolled in this traditional contest.
The event, organized by the farmers' association Eagles (ASAJA) in collaboration with the City of Eagle, told this time with a jury composed of representatives of the distributors Eagles;
Silvia specifically Escarabajal (Expoáguilas), Juan Meca (Coáguilas) and Diego Moreno.
Participants were divided into two categories, first 3 prizes for tomato truss and 3 other prizes for tomato ranch.
The mayor of Eagle, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the president of Asaja, José Martinez, were in charge of delivering the first prizes in both categories.
All the winners were presented with a Christmas hamper and a tray of handmade pottery.
