Aquiline hundreds of school children participated yesterday in the eighteenth edition of the traditional Christmas Carols School Contest a year organized the councils of Celebration and Education and with the collaboration of the Band School Musical Patronage Columbine Francisco Diaz Romero, responsible for kick off this popular Christmas event with a selection of instrumental carols.
After the performance of the young musicians of the Board the mayor of Eagle, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayors of Celebration and Education, Encarnacion Navarro and Vicente Ruiz, took the stage to hand over a trophy to the teachers of the participating centers this year were: Ramon y Cajal, Las Lomas, Carlos V, Joaquín Shopkeeper, Urci, Mediterranean, Our Lady of Sorrows, Mary Immaculate and El Rubial.
After this first part of the contest, the stage of the square of Spain was full of magic, illusion and also the nerves of all children who after many weeks rehearsing their carols left patent work had paid off.
Dressed in Santa Claus hats, Christmas hats, reindeer noses or bags of shepherd children of the aquiline schools they showed, once again, they are the main protagonists of these festivals.
