The Ministry of Tourism and Consumer grants to 11 municipalities with a total of 102,095 euros for the promotion of consumer protection policies in fiscal 2008 through the signing of cooperation agreements.
With this funding seeks to enhance consumer information at all levels, increasing citizens' knowledge of the essential characteristics of products, goods and services as well as the rights and obligations as consumers hold in order to adopt attitudes rational consumption.
In addition, townships may allocate the grants to establish and strengthen preventive few mechanisms consider appropriate to ensure respect and protection of the rights of consumers in the market.
To this end, the allocation of the budget will be distributed as follows: Abarán, 6,010 euros; Eagles, 15,000; Cehegín, 6010, Los Alcazares, 6,000, Molina de Segura, 21,020; Moratalla, 6010; Mula, 15,000; Puerto Lumbreras, 6010; Towers Cotillas, 6010, Torre-Pacheco, 9015, and Totana, 6,010 euros.
