The director of the Institute for Youth, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by President of the Association for the Integration of Mentally Handicapped Ceoma, Josefa Lopez, visited the summer camp is organized in association Calabardina Eagles.
This camp is held with two aims: firstly, that the young participants enjoy a few days of leisure and free time in a different environment to their usual residence and away from familiar surroundings and, moreover, provide aid to families and carers of young people.
The scheduled activities are aimed at leisure.
The young people involved in animation workshops, pool games and evening.
The camp will be held in two shifts a week each.
The first takes place from 3 to 11 August and involves 27 young people with intellectual disabilities.
The second round will run from 11 to 17 August, a week in which young people will be more autonomy.
During this period participants will be accommodated in the tourist residence that the association has in Calabardina Asprodes.
This project is jointly funded by the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia and the association Ceoma.
