The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pedro Alberto Cruz, opened today the course 'no formal education in youth work, organized by the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia and is included in the schedule of the University International Mar. The opening ceremony also attended by the director of the Institute for Youth, Veronica Lopez, Vice Chancellor of University Extension, University of Murcia, Francisco Guillermo Díaz Baños, and the mayor of Eagle, Juan Ramírez.
The seminar is aimed at all those working with youth in various areas of formal education and is intended to cover a demand for training that exists in this field.
A total of 58 participants, including technicians, social workers, association members and students attending this meeting to exchange their experiences in formal education applied to youth.
The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pedro Alberto Cruz, stressed the importance of such education as "encourages and enables the association to implement the policy of how small it is ultimately the great accomplishments are achieved" explained.
In addition, it will show the work the Youth Institute of the Region of Murcia has been making for years with training programs for young people who act with non-formal education, mainly through its Youth Training Scheme and Regional School of Animation and Leisure.
At this meeting, to be held from 15 to 19 September at the Youth Hostel Calarreona, will also discuss other topics, values education, citizenship and participation, health education and environmental non-formal education in Spain Europe intercultural work and socio-professional integration, qualification and training routes for intervention, education methodologies, socio-cultural, personal and social development of youth among others.
The course, the first thing the Youth Institute program organized within the International University of the Sea, is directed by Professor of the Faculty of Education at the University of Murcia, Catalina Guerrero, and the director of the School of Animation Leisure and Youth Institute, Roberto Bañón, and coordinated by Diego Miguel Marín, educational and technical consultant on social and educational projects in European programs.
