Entitled "Meeting to change the look", will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, from 10:00 to 12.30 pm and from 17.00 to 19.30 pm in the Municipal Center on Aging, in two groups of about 30.
The main contents of this workshop are: the analysis of inequality, gender roles and stereotypes, its manifestation and impact on daily life, the causes, manifestations and risk indicators and warning of violence in couples.
Also consider the analysis of the myths and realities associated with the mistreatment of women, information on counseling and support resources, as well as analysis of female role models.
The program builds on the cornerstone of any prevention strategy: knowledge.
Knowledge not only provides information but also allows reflection and inquiry as a way to stimulate change in those beliefs, attitudes, myths and cultural stereotypes that sustain gender violence, which are fertile ground for relations promote unequal and violent behavior.
On the other hand, it provides practical knowledge to identify what are the main indicators of risk, forms of occurrence and early detection of forms of abuse.
The objectives sought are:
• Encourage reflection on gender roles and stereotypes and their influence in different spheres of life of women.
• Facilitate understanding of the nature and factors influencing partner violence and its consequences.
• Develop skills to identify risk indicators and warning against violence.
• Promote recognition and appreciation of women's positive role models of relationships based on equality.
