Eagles Mayor, Juan Ramírez Soto, showed satisfaction this morning after learning that, after almost three years of previous work, the Board of Directors General of Tourism, organized by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade has today approval to the implementation of the Strategic Plan of Tourism Competitiveness' Eagles, the sea and fishing. "

This Plan provides a series of performances, worth three million euros, which will take place over the next three years, with the joint participation of the Central Administration, Regional and Local.

The mayor wanted to thank the collaboration of the current Central and Autonomous bodies and the interest shown by the former Minister of Tourism, José Pablo Ruiz Abellán and former Director General of Tourism Infrastructure, José Anselmo Luengo, for this ambitious project .

Juan Ramirez said, "This program will try to make fishing an attractive environment and tourism, developing for it a territorial development plan, which contemplates testing and promoting new tourism products."

The project includes several types of action, which began with the study and investigation of the elements that characterize the fishing ports in terms of culture, traditions, history, environmental characteristics, etc.

One of the most iconic performances of the Plan is the creation of the Interpretation Center of the Sea and Fisheries Eco-school, and museum center with Aquarius, worth 900,000 euros, as it provides for the preparation of a municipal building of 600m2, with the installation of an aquarium fish species in the area for training purposes, and playback of the seabed.

The center multimedia show real life of fishermen, the virtual representation of a typical workers and an old fishing boat.

Another initiative will be the acquisition and adaptation of a fishing boat in use, characteristic of systems of local fisheries, and their conversion to tourist use at sea.

For the enhancement of all the tourist potential has been projected design of the route of the old fishing village, and sightseeing area.

It has included the improvement, upgrading and finishing viewpoint, the elimination of architectural barriers and improve the general accessibility of the neighborhood, environment and landscape of the Mill.
