After receiving proper authorization from the Directorate General of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, the City of Eagle has now proceeded to the removal of graffiti vandalism carried out in the "Torre de Cope."
The Consistory aquiline, after carrying out a technical report, decided to denounce the vandalism in the Civil Guard headquarters and request the appropriate authorization for the removal of graffiti, because the monument is declared of Cultural Interest (BIC) , being the regional powers in these cases, as described in article seven of the Law 16/1985 of 25 June on Spanish Historical Heritage, which states that "The municipalities will cooperate with relevant agencies to implement this Act on the Conservation and Heritage custody within its municipality .... "
The historical monument of great historical value, loved and admired by all aquiline, has been painted several times, with allusions to the development of the environment.
This time the damage occurred in the top of the south wall in the lower northwest corner and in the vicinity of the main span of the facade of the monument.
From City of Eagles, we deeply regret these incidents from people with no principles and showing a lack of total and absolute respect to our city and its inhabitants.
Although the Eagles furniture suffers attacks on various occasions like this, with graffiti and stickers with slogans similar to that suffered the Tower of Cope, the fact is that on this occasion, the damage has been greater than treated in this historic fortress, which is why the Eagles Hall did not hesitate at any time in carrying out the measures considered appropriate.
