Eagles at the forefront of municipalities in the Region of Murcia with the highest number of Blue Flags.
In total there will be 7 of these important distinctions which will fly during the summer of 2009 at our place, one more than last year and the record so far, in the coastal city.
The awards have been granted this summer are to:
Beach "Calabardina."
Playa "Las Delicias"
Playa de Levante.
Playa de "La Colonia".
Sandy "West"
Beach "Calarreona"
Marina Yacht Club.
These awards are granted by ADEAC (Association of Environmental and Consumer Education), with the necessary requirements to achieve this distinction:
Unpolluted waters, within the parameters required by the European Community.
No industrial waste and other contaminants or debris that may affect the beach or the environment.
Signaling and control of specific areas for activities incompatible with the bathroom.
Presence of lifeguards during the swimming season.
Safety for swimmers, preventing the movement of vehicles.
After hearing the news, the mayor of Eagle, Juan Ramírez Soto, has said that "we are proud to again be the town in the region with the highest number of Blue Flags, beating our own record."
Ramírez also pointed out that "this year also expect new waves on the beach of Las Delicias, the Q for quality."
All this has highlighted the mayor, highlights the best beach columbines.
