Animal-assisted therapy, treatment of psychological problems caused by work or how to treat pathological gambling are some of the topics to be addressed in the Course of Clinical Psychology: Progress in psychological treatments ", an initiative of the International University Mar entering this year in its third edition.
Analysis anxiety disorder because of the separation, treatment of phobia of the dark, the uselessness of suffering, psychology as a health profession or intermittent explosive disorder are also discussed by various speakers of Spanish and American universities.
The course is aimed Buela Casal Gualberto Castro and Wenceslao Peñate, and tries to explain the latest developments in psychological therapies, including changes with respect to certain well-known psychotherapies.
Makers try that participants acquire basic skills in these advances in the psychological treatment.
The inaugural lecture will be given by Wenceslao Peñate Castro and will focus on the theme "individualized or therapeutic treatments based on the manual?" While the closing ceremony, entitled "Key factors in the development and approach of pathological gambling", run by Francisco Javier Labrador Encinas, a professor at the Universidad Complutense.
The course is held at the Hotel Don Juan de Aguilas from 13 to 17 July.
