The marina incorporates Eagles Juan Montiel 354 new berths for the promotion of tourism and water sports (14/07/2009)

The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today inaugurated the marina Juan Montiel, located on the site of the 'Green Casica' in Eagles.

The Puerto Juan Montiel, situated at Iberia, has four docks that are distributed in 354 berths equipped with sealed boxes of water and electricity, and 22 for boats in transit, they also have these services, ensuring optimum service for boats.

The works have also meant the adequacy of the urban environment of 'Casica Green', with the construction of a promenade of 250 meters and a breakwater protecting the beach, which has been reclaimed as part of the project.

Within the environment of the new port has been allocated 600 square meters to sports schools, which will facilitate water sports and learning to handle boats of any size, so extending the supply of education places in the Region Murcia, which allow eligible for official titles for boat handling.

The new facilities also include a capacity for 248 parking spaces.

Marinas Forward Plan

The regional government is working on the development of the new Port Plan 2009-2022 of the Region of Murcia, developed through the Directorate General for Transport and Ports, which will define the future model of growth of marinas in the Community.
