Study the main decisions that the Act relates to economic crisis is the main objective set the course of the Universidad Internacional del Mar "Labour measures for companies in crisis", to be held in the Hotel Don Juan in the town of Aguilas from 20 to 24 July.
According to M ª Carmen Sánchez Trigueros, and Francisco Antonio González Díaz, director of the course, the negative economic developments primarily affects the workers, "the weakest link in the chain."
But "the company also is a victim of the difficulties, and should take steps within its power to a reduction of the effects of the recession."
According to officials of the course, the difficulties posed by the economic crisis must be faced by business from existing labor laws, but they are scattered, since "there is a lack of a law or chapter specifically targeted at the struggling company economic. "
Therefore, the objective of the course is to review the major decisions that the law tied to crisis situations.
The course is taught by various speakers, mostly professors of Labour and Social Security, both from the University of Murcia, and Valencia, Sevilla, Extremadura, Cartagena, Granada and Juan Carlos I.
Apart from lectures and a panel discussion, the course includes a workshop on film and the economic crisis which will screen several films related to this theme, like 'The Grapes of Wrath' by John Ford or 'on Mondays to Sun 'by Fernando Leon de Aranoa.
The course has a duration of thirty hours, and learning in those who are entitled to a total of three elective credits.
The registration period will remain open until July 13.
