The Governing Council has declared a Cultural (BIC) with the rank of the Jetty Memorial Stove, in Aguilas.
British Railway Company in Southern Spain between 1887-1890 made the stretch Eagles-Lorca and requested a concession for the construction of a mineral loading exploiting the natural conditions of the bay and proximity to the station of the town of Aguilas.
The pier was opened in 1903 and the massive export of minerals from mines Bacares saw continued until 1968 when it stopped working.
In 1918 this pier endured traffic in excess of 800,000 tonnes and was considered the second most important in Spain.
The metal structure is formed by three rows of 39 columns of iron joined it two to two tie-rods arranged in a "cross of St. Andrew 'connected by rivets reinforcements with standard profile rail.
With this new statement, the municipality of Eagles has five of Cultural Interest, as the landing of the stove join the Chuecos Castle, Castle Tebar, the fortress Castillo San Juan de Aguilas and the Torre de Cope.
