The city of Eagle has just launch a new edition of the Municipal Drogodepencias Prevention, which will develop the following programs:
Point of Information and Family Counseling Drug Addiction Prevention. Aimed at the general population.
Workshops Leisure and Recreation. Aimed at students of 1 º and 2 º ESO at risk of drug use detected through counselors or head of studies of Schools.
Project Objectives
- Strengthen the values, attitudes, skills and knowledge that interest away from drugs.
- To promote healthy and supportive environments.
- Use positive recreation and leisure.
To this end, provide information on acts to be taken to avoid the threat of drug use, information focusing on the positive aspects of non-consumption, emphasizing the short-term (problems with your partner, friends, family ...)
Drug Addiction Prevention workshops with students of 1 º Y 4 º ESO.
Aimed at students of 1 and 4 of compulsory secondary education.
Workshop 1 º ESO "Education for Health"
Objectives:
Informing and raising awareness to the problem of drugs, especially alcohol and snuff.
Promote critical thinking.
Transmit a healthy lifestyle.
Modify incorrect knowledge about alcohol and snuff.
Promoting change in attitude toward alcohol and snuff as instruments of fun and entertainment.
Workshops will be held over 4 sessions within the tutoring of students, with the following distribution:
Health and media.
Substances harmful to health.
Snuff: history and reality.
Alcohol: a cultural perspective.
Workshop 4 º ESO "Health Education and Prevention"
Objectives:
Facilitate understanding of social influences on health-related behaviors and promote healthy lifestyles.
Informing and raising awareness to the problem of drugs, both legal and illegal, based on knowledge of substances with the students.
Encourage critical thinking, emphasizing the value of personal decisions.
Convey healthy lifestyles and raise awareness of the risks associated with the use and abuse of different substances.
Promote change in attitudes towards drugs as a means of entertainment and leisure.
Workshops will be held over 4 sessions in tutorial classes, with the following distribution:
Health education and media.
Drugs: Myths and Realities.
Legal drugs: alcohol and snuff.
Illegal drugs: cannabis and cocaine.
4. Lecture-Parents of 3 rd cycle of EP and 1 º ESO.
Within the context of prevention, we consider primary and priority action with parents, as it is in the home where they can detect early signs of distress and make appropriate prevention in the form of values education.
5 .- Prevention Education Program for Drug Dependency.
Aimed at schoolchildren between 5 and 10 years.
The most important aspect of this program is to study the most common feelings experienced by girls and boys.
It's about getting them to talk about their feelings and from there allow each person to understand that these feelings are shared by their colleagues.
The topics covered in the book are: the rational and irrational fears, teasing, lying, cheating, jealousy, unfair punishments, prejudice and discrimination, physical and cultural differences, peer pressure, the magic solution to the problems and drug use.
6.-Training Course for Local Police
Among the objectives to be achieved is to give basic training on the various substances, coping problems that may arise in the course of their work and raise awareness of consumer issues and on legal drugs.
