The Neighborhood Partnership Forum Columbine-AVA-Eagles City has delivered to the General Register of the City a letter to the Mayor for the tracing of Roman amphorae a fisherman claimed to have delivered for them to be displayed in the Archaeological Museum.
This initiative of the Neighborhood Association is a consequence of the above testimony by a neighbor of Eagles, Peter Escarabajal, who says that several years ago was delivered to the councilman Juan Pérez García several vases taken from the seabed, with the promise that they would be exhibited in the Archaeological Museum.
Since no parts on the premises, or know the whereabouts of the amphorae, the owner has asked the mayor cited an unsuccessful way to get them back.
In this situation, and taking into account that this may be remains of archaeological value, protected by the Heritage Act, AVA requested the Mayor to investigate what happened in order that the ballot boxes in question are located and delivered immediately to the regional body competent for cultural heritage of the region.
This is without prejudice to what happened is cited as the Neighborhood Association to the attention of the General Directorate of Fine Arts and Cultural Rights and Protection Service of Nature (SEPRONA) of the Guardia Civil.
