This Saturday begins the sixth edition of Amateur Theatre National Competition "Paco Rabal," which will take place from November 7 to December 12.
Of the 36 works submitted for the contest, from different parts of Spanish territory, which have been selected and will be on stage are:
November 7: "Family" Company "CaricatoTeatro" Torrejón (Madrid).
November 14: "Address Unknown" Company "Garnacha Theatre de La Rioja.
November 21: "The cage" Company "Jarchas Theatre de Cáceres.
28 November: "We will tell lies," the Company "Thiare Theatre Pilar de la Horadada (Alicante).
The play "Family", responsible for giving the starting signal for the contest, tells the story of a man who decides to spend his birthday with the best gift you can give yourself a 'family'.
From there, the situations of a group of comedians hired for the occasion, will became in fact they do confuse reality with fiction.
It is worth noting that on Saturday, December 12, will be the closing event and award ceremony, which will feature the play "The Tempest" by the Company "Thespis."
The mayor of Culture, Clara Valverde, has announced that the representations, with free admission, will take place on designated, at 20:00 pm in the Hotel Don Miguel.
Valverde was keen to stress that "the City of Eagle chartered shuttle buses that balance from the port to the Esplanade Hotel at 19'15 hours, returning again to the place of departure to complete the works."
