Eagles Mayor, Juan Ramírez Soto and the mayor of Culture, Clara Valverde, have visited this morning the recently completed rehabilitation works side facade of the Church of San Jose, a landmark neoclassical building-colonial nineteenth century as part of the architectural heritage of the municipality.
The first steps towards full recovery of the parish, located in the heart of the town, began in 2006 when it carried out actions in the rear facade, for an amount of 64,000 €.
Subsequently, in 2008, was the main facade of the church that underwent restoration work in the amount of 128,000 €.
With this new measure, which has embarked on the front side of the building, under the professional management of the architect, Antonio Martínez de la Casa, the City of Eagle and the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the general direction Housing and Architecture, complete recovery of the entire facade of this temple, built in 1853.
The Ministry, through the compliance program and conservation of facades, roofs and medians, has funded 75 percent of the total cost of this last performance, which amounts to 66,000 euros, while the Eagles consistory contributes 25 per cent .
